Question Glove Box

Has anyone had any problems with this as far as "rattling" (or squeaking) while driving over a somewhat uneven road? I found that if I push down on the lid while driving, this rattling disappears. The sound also goes away if I leave the lid open while driving. Not a viable solution.

Have any of you encountered this? If so, how did you resolve the problem?

Thanks,

Put some white grease on the latch.

Mine is very full and sometimes one of the items in there bounces and hits the lid. Check to make sure you don't have too much in there. Even if mine rattled all the time, it would still be the great invention since sliced bread!

The only problem I have with the upper dash "glove" box is that it doesn't open easily. I push the button and pry the door open. The only thing I keep in there is a cell phone charger, my fuel log book and a couple of pens.

I keep everything in mine. If it rattles take it to the dealer and have them fix it. My drivers side door made a low pop noise when I got it and they fix it right away.

Check to see the rubber bumpers are present on both sides of the center box. They support the door so the latch can be pressed. One of mine was missing from the factory and I had the same problem getting the door open. Also had a hard time getting the dealer to find the bumper.

jdmcomp, was the dealer able to order the bumper separately? I am also missing one and I have only been able to track down the whole compartment.

Too bad I didn't notice it on the lot. The dealer in my area said the whole compartment is $117! Anyone have a bag of spare bumpers?
