Gurgling Noise Under Hood HHR SS Turbo

Okay, call me crazy but I hear a very soft gurgling or gentle knocking noise when I'm pushing down on the accelerator. It seems to be most prevalent when I'm stopped and go steadily from 0 to around 20-25. It happens when the AC is On or Off. I can also hear it when on the hwy going about 70-75 but much softer. It sounds like it could possibly be a watery sound being forced through tubes or something but again it happens regardless of AC on or off.

I've heard this sound from the very first day (only had for 2 wks). Can anyone keep their ears peeled to determine if it might be a normal sound? Thank you!!

Will it go away on its own accord? Will the dealership know how to 'burp' the system??

Thanks to the posters who respond with helpful suggestions. If I wanted joke answers all I have to do is call my dad!

Wonder if your user name has anything to do w/ the "gurgling water" noise.

Sounds to me like you may have a Gremlin under there.

Sounds like the cooling system needs to be burped. Probably air in the system.

my jimmy has made this noise from the day i bought it. my dad is a semi mechanic and couldn't figure it out and anytime i've had it in the shop they haven't found it.

it happens when i accelerate and the only way to explain is just like you said, gurgling water.

My father has an 04 Impala and has what you could be describing... he was told it was air trapped in the heater core.
