hard to believe..

noticed that the short(roughly 2ft.) piece of rubber hose that runs from the filler neck to the bottom of the radiator overflow container was phched up by the filler neck. so, decided to stop by at my local chevy dealer to get e new one......come to find out that the hose is roughly $30.00(!!!). not even a reinforced piece of hose. so...went down the street and picked up a piece of(3/8) inch hose for 4 bucks......."problem" fixed......just cant believe $30 for a 2ft piece of bubber....not even reinforced.........g/m p/n 25826619.

even $20 bucks on here....https://www.gmpartsonline.net/2006-chevrolet-hhr.html

That's ridiculous for 2 ft of rubber. Come to think of it, it may also be made in China too. Probably a 50 cent part. :)

Those hoses must be in a bin next to those $9 a piece screws for the SS air breather lid.

It's expensive cause it's made out of unobtanium.

Well, that is a part number that we won't post to the Parts Number thread.

Funny that, but I had the same thought myself.

I recently replaced mine. Didn't even think of GM as a source.

BTW, make sure you get the crud cleared out of the outlet. It Will cause venting problems.

I say post the part number, just for those purist types who insist on every part must be OEM!
Just in case these trucklets are the stars of the 2056 Barrett-Jackson Collector car auctions

Fwiw. Right after I got my car I replaced that coolant tank line with a clear plastic one. Why ? I can SEE the coolant in the line. As we all know, it's very hard to look down and see where the coolant level is in the tank itself.
With the clear plastic I can just look down and see there's coolant in there.

My $3 clear plastic hose has been there for 5 years with no issues.
