Angry Headlights

I installed new Nokya 55w H13 bulbs in my 2009 HHR SS. Now the high beams do not work. The dealer stated that these bulbs burned the connectors. I could remember that these bulbs are the same wattage and etc like the standard bulbs. Has any one had this happen to them? Were can I get new harnesses and better bulbs?

The dealer said the amps are higher! I do know the wattage is the same as stock bulbs
55W. The dealer stated that the bluer/whiter aftermarket bulbs have to have higher amps to get the brighter light output. I have tried silverstars and Hellas. They all burn out very fast. With the Nokyas the left side comes on and off. Now the high beams do not work at all.

55W.
simple Ohms law:

watts = voltage x current
written another way: current = watts divided by voltage

therefore if the light is 55 watts (same as stock) and the car is 12 volts, the light does not draw more current! Am I missing something?

Nokya Arctic White H13 (9008) 60/55W Light Bulbs:

"While light output is increased, the current draw remains the same, so there is no risk of melted harnesses, sockets, wires, or short circuits, etc. No wiring modifications are necessary, making installation very simple."

Here's my 2 Cents.....You should probably be looking into another dealer. I think they just idn't want to fix the problem because of the Aftermarket Lights. Put the stock ones on and go to another dealer. Follow what thorn11166 said. Most dealer wont work on Aftermarket problems though.
