Could be the actuator(s) or there have been some that found the seals failed and are flopping around.

Should the part number in the common parts thread be replaced with this one?

So what's happening is the temperature actuator motor is getting stuck half way. I poked my head under the dash when it failed and it turns to the middle, half hot half cold (lukewarm) then all of a sudden it moves and goes to hot. I think that's where my problem lies

Me too, that's the way to get to the problem, get in there and have a look. The bolts that hold the actuator are 4.5 mm

But, is it the motor or the door sticking? Usually the door gasket gets loose/falls off.

Well when I looked at it just a bit ago when it failed, it did move back to hot on its own. I would think to give that actuator a shot!

It will move back and forth from cold to hot if I move the knob myself (unless it's in the lukewarm where it gets stuck, then it will only move that far.

I just pulled it off again and ran it with it hanging. It sat there and moved back and forth from hot to warm on its own on the actuator. That tells me the heater box is ok. Now it's just a matter if it's the actuator itself or the control assembly on the dash. I think the actuator is easier and cheaper lol

I changed the part # in the parts thread. I believe Dorman also makes a replacement part, so you might be able to get it from NAPA/Advance/Zone etc.
