HELP!!! Dealer wants to drop gas tank

Everybody here has forgotten to plug the MAF back in.

Take a look at the flex pipe, or some other exhaust leak around it that's really the most likely cause of p0172! It gives a cattywampus reading between the front HO2 sensor and the back HO2 sensor.

Donbrew, sorry to keep everyone waiting. The strangest thing happened, After it staying on for 2 months, it miraculously cleared itself. I actually was just about to call the dealer to set up the appt. to drop the tank and it went off and stayed off. Lucky I guess.

Get heet from your local parts store. Its what its there for. But as far as the running rich it could be as simple as an adjustment screw being out of whack. I know this because quite a few of the cars have had a screw letting techs and even DIYers adjust the rich lean for years.

Also might want to check into other avenues before dropping the tank.

Wrong. Computer controlled fuel injection, not a carb. No adjustment available.

Well my old probe gt wasnt running on a carb. and it still had the adjustment.

dirty air filter can ruin gasoline mixture
although... it should be a lot of dirt in order to include the code
