Help No Hi-Beams
Help No Hi-Beams
So out of the blue my High Beams aren't working. When I turn them on my normal lights go completely out. The blue indicator on the dash shows them as being activated . I checked the high beam fuses and they are both good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its either a simultaneous failure of both high beam filaments, or you have a problem with the high beam relay in position #72 in the underhood fuse box. You might try pulling that relay and reinstalling it to see if its loose, and while you're there push down on all the fuses and relays in the box because they can work loose over time and cause odd problems.

I did try the relay and it didn't change. So if the hi-beam filament is burned out ,that would cause the normal headight to go out when the hi-beam is activated?
Unusual, but both bulbs can fail at the same time. I had an Acura years ago, the headlights (low beams) wouldn't work. I went around in circles for hours, looking for a bad relay, fuse, switch etc. Finally just bought two new headlght bulbs and installed. Problem solved! I just didn't think both would fail at the same time.
