Help-what have i done?

Ok, I need some help. This evening I installed silver faced gauges to my 2010 HHR and everything looked great and worked fine for about 5 minutes. I went for a test drive to make sure everything was working, but when I was about to pull in the driveway, the gauges went nuts. I made sure I had a full tank before I started and made sure all of the needles were pulled off gently and carefullly. The needles all went a little nuts, the information display showed lines for temperature, the TCS light lit up, and the brake light kept coming on and going off.

HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

Sounds like you may have a bad ground. Unfortunately, this means you have to pull the cluster back out and check.

It looks awesome. Blue back lighting, red needles, and exterior paint matched silver gauge faces. The backlighting is now flashing randomly, and the DIC won't scroll through the Information. I'm a bit sad. I'm afraid I completely screwed up my car.

If the only thing I changed were LED's, does this mean I have one flipped, or one soldered across the + and -?

Is this something I need to fix now, or can I drive it for a day and work on it tomorrow?

Last night, I put everything original back in. Put all the original LED's back, and put the original gauge faces back in. I took it to the dealer this morning because it was flickering and flashing, and wouldn't stop. I couldn't get anything to work.

I'll post pics up if I can ever get the gauges re-installed.

Dealer chasing down wiring now. They found mouse droppings in the engine and told me that the wires are coated with peanut oil, so there is a good chance that if there were mice in my engine compartment that they chewed on the wires. It will be a couple more hours before they can tell me for sure.

I guess we shall see.
