2006 HHR LT1 ~
Interested in improving original gasket between rocker panel and bottom of doors. Mine exhibits "scalloped" like profile. Can be seen sticking out from bottom of closed door !
Anybody found a simple fix ?

clean the door gasket and the area it meets when you close the door.
You may need to replace the gasket

I get in and out of the car sometimes hundreds of times a day, and I have gimpy legs so my feet drag on the gasket. I just cover it up with some metallic duct tape (NOT Duck Tape).

Why not? What's wrong with Duck Tape?

It's fabric and too gooey. The metallic duct tape doesn't fray or leave a gooey mess behind.

Ahh, I was trying to be funny but you mean 'real' duct tape not the stuff we sort of generically refer to as duct tape. I should know that being an old HVAC/MVAC guy......
