HHR Alternator

I have a brand new Delco High output Alternator for a 2007 i got for free. I want to put it into my 2009 SS. The charging connector is different , Anyone know if i can cut the connector off and splice a 2007 connector and away we go ? A high out put alternator for the HHR SS will run 300 and up so i want to use this one if i can retrofit. I could even make an adapter cable if it is somehow compatible.

AllData says the connectors are the same.

How many pins on the alternator?

The Remy remanufactured alt for the 2007, is 115 amp

The 2009 SS alt is 130 amps

I think your SS would not run very well and your battery wouldn't last long with the lower current alternator.
