Angry HHR head ache -new cd player car wont start.

I recently purchased a new pioneer cd-dvd player deck.
I had a friend install it with no luck.

A fuse had blown so he had taken each fuse out at a time to see which fuse had blown. the blown fuse was replaced. all were put back in the correct spots. The cluster gages stopped working along with the blinker in the cluster gages. The new stereo was unplugged and the car will not start.

all fuses in the car and under the hood have been checked many times.
The positive cable has been unhooked and left for 5 minutes at a time to reset the car. I have turned the key to acc. and stepped on the brake moving the car from Low to park and then trying to start and nothing.
It doesn't even attempt to start the car.

I only have 1 key and 1 key fob - is there a way my key could have become unrecognized? I will call the dealership today. someone said my vehicle may need to be re flashed. Any help would be Awesome as this has been a nightmare. Also the factory radio was plugged back in and it turns itself on and then back off. There is an orange car with a padlock in the left corner on the cluster, Is this the alarm security also if so? how the heck do i get this fixed? Thanks

It may be in theft mode, but the lock will show when you turn the key on like the other icons show on the cluster. If you use the remote to unlock the vehicle and it chirps 3 or 4 times then the system thinks there was a break in.

Which fuse was blown?
Did you check the big maxi fuses?
