Hi all.

I'm a newbie with an 07LT, I enjoy my HHr but I got ??
My factory remote start won't work and I can't figure out why.
Good fuses, no dash lights or codes, new battery in remote, door locks work.
Anybody know what's wrong?
Thanks in advance.

The remote start in my '08 would not work because my door lock actuators weren't working properly. It would take me several hits on the FOB for them to lock. The car thinks that it isn't locked, so the remote start won't work. After replacing the motors in all of the door lock actuators, viola, the remote start now works.

You are locking the car first and then holding down the remote start button for a few seconds, right? Just thought I'd mention this as it is a common mistake.

Thanks for the input guys. The DIC is showing on. The day after I posted my problem, the hatch handle started operating intermittently and now the sunroof doesn't open, along with turn signals won't cancel out after turning. This car has been one problem after another since I bought it a year ago. I'm thinking "What a POS". What do I do next? My fuses are all good still. What about relays?
How do I test the door latch switches? My remote tested good @ the dealer.

Have you checked the battery in the trunk? If the battery is near end of life, some strange things start to happen. Being a 2007, if it's the original battery, it is likely due for replacement.

I think whopper is on the right track, head to your local auto parts store or auto electrical shop and have your battery checked and load tested.

Delco batteries have finite lifespans, and HHR's can act utterly strange when their batteries are failing.

Replaced it a few months ago with Diehard Gold. Got new battery in remote also. Considering a new one since I have only one.
How DO you change latch switches? Part of latch?

I'd still have that new battery in the car tested - they either fail fairly quickly or seem to last forever. The "latch switches" as you call them (solenoids), require a good battery to operate properly. Having so many electrical issues all at once really points to the battery being marginal. I'd suspect a dead or weak cell.
