hi i was wondering what are all the problems that come with a defective esc in my 2011 hhr, also can they tell when my esc started to act up?

 

If you are saying the esc light is on, there are a few causes. Go get the trouble codes read off the computer and it will give you a start.
One common cause is the abs sensor or connector at the wheel, or maybe a brake switch.
With a 2011, chances are it is under warranty and the dealer should take care of everything.

Thank you for letting me know. Do you know if they can track when they went defective.because it caused me to get into an accident

 

Sorry, I dont know. But I suggest not driving it if it is driveable. The computer may keep such info for a short period of time.

 

Did the light come on before you had the accident? And if so, how long prior to fhe accident.
