Hey all,

I have an issue with my HHR. When my headlamps are on and my dash is illuminated, I can hear a VERY high pitched screech/sound coming from my radio area. When I turn my dimmer down, it seems to go away.

Any thoughts? Its giving me a serious headache.

I took it to the dealership and they couldn't hear anything at all.

My girlfriend heard it when I pointed it out, now it bothers her too. Its like when someone turns an old tube TV on and you can hear the electronic whine.

Anyone else have this issue?

 

Sound like the dimmer is going bad, or poorly grounded.

 

^What he said.....for what its worth, mine had what you are describing when my audio cable was going bad...New cable...sound went away(coming from speakers tho)
