After being told that the only replacement of the fan switch is to replace the entire module, found this part number AC Delco #15-5691 for less than $20. All the fitment guides say it wouldn't fit, but it works in the 2006 HHR.

My daughter ran the original switch marking on Google, and found the part number, along with people using it on other models than those I listed above.
