Thats the EXACT one I am posting about that does not work right.It must be my radio as it worked all day and night yesterday.The problem is intermittent.My dealer said they are going to change the radio........so this will be the 3rd radio since I bought it in March!

 

3rd radio???? Geez, have them spring for a decent aftermarket deck w/ a usb drive at this point. Sorry to hear your radio's a lemon. Have them check the wiring/connections maybe? Something's gotta give here gmdealerguy!

Yep....one from new factory with car...and one at 149 miles!!! and this one will make 3. I'm even more confused now because as I mentioned,I left our Chevy dealer and work for our Acura store in our auto mall so this morning I plugged my PNY 8GB ATTACHE into an 09 TL and it would not work.Said load failed. Now.....a user on here uses this in his HHR with no problems. I can use this PNY in any PC and it works flawlessly so it cant be the flash.I'm wondering if cars are picky about the brand.By the way,all the flashes are in FAT32 which is the format the cars use. So now I dont know if the radio is bad or picky. The Centon 8GB Is working right now but it will work for a day or so and stop loading altogether......so you never know when it's going to stop...which is very annoying all in itself. So now I just dont know......
If cars are picky then its even more annoying because why should we have to keep wasting money to "test" flash drives? This should be done when the automakers develop this stuff.
Oh,to clarify,my radio was not changed at 149 miles for USB issues....it was changed because it would power up and not play......Now there is a service bulletin on that issue.

 

So far I have not been able to get any flash drive bigger than 1GB to work. U3 doesn't seem to be an issue. Has anyone NOT been able to use a 1GB stick?

 

just replace the unit with an aftermarket unit and no more troubles, I use a 4 gig and 16 gig with my JVC unit

 

Just bought a new Kingston 4GB flash drive. Put about 60 songs on it and so far it works great. Hope it stays that way.

 

Visual inspection of the USB terminals in the radio results in what? I understand some issues may be radio related, but, could the USB terminals not me making proper contact?
