Question Intermittent wiper works intermittently

Starting to have an issue with the wipers running at their own speed. When set to intermittent, they don't work at all. I then switch to constant and they start working again. Then while still in constant mode, they wipers start working as if in intermittent setting. I also noticed that if I move the wiper switch it will sometimes get things working as they should. Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Is there a swithc/sensor somewhere that might need to be changed?

I too have had the same problem, but I know its going to be a problem if I take it to the dealer, they will never be able to recreate the problem???

So I just play around with it until it works right, I just worry that once the Warranty is up that it will just quit working

Yea, it's more of an aggravation thing. Since it rained on my way to work this moring, it was fresh on my mind, so I thought I'd see if anyone else was having the same aggravation. Thanks.

You know, I've been noticing the same thing the last few weeks. I know we have speed sensitive wipers that are controlled by the BCM that will change from intermittent to constant at higher speeds, but I've also noticed that my mist function will not work sometimes too.

60,000 miles and my first glitch??? Good thing I *did* pony up for the extended warranty three years ago. I need to get my recall for the roof padding scheduled anyway.

I did my roof padding a couple of weeks ago also. Took about 20 minutes. No noticable difference inside.

Let us know what the wiper problem is, if they find it

I'd still take it to dealer to report the problem so it will be on file that it occured and was a problem while under warranty.

I had the same problem and we replaced the wiper switch, it took care of the problem.
