I'm not sure about remote door locks. If it was a rental I think they could be ordered without.

I know of no wording in the DIC about reprogramming the remote. You sure you got an HHR Owner Manual. See the link in my Sig for one.

Hey donbrew. No links showing in your sig once again.

For dwarfracer1. Here's the link to this site's online HHR Owners Manuals:

stay away from the dorman fobs

I used that set up and its utter garbage. dorman parts are usually decent but using that fob programmer as per instructions gave me transmission linear error codes and messed up with the shifting. I tossed it after the second try with the same errors. I had to clear the check engine lights and reset the ecu to get it to stop shifting out of gear because of the dorman key fob programmer. I paid the dealer 120 for one fob programmed. is it a rip . well yeah probably but I don't a a horrible shifting transmission anyway.

Did you drive the car with the programmer plugged in?
What was the code number? What is linear error?

How did resetting the ECM effect the TCM and how did either one get affected by the Dorman fob programmer?

Just questions to substantiate your claim.
