Key wont come out

Tracy,
There is a small compartment under the column that you can open, usually with a pocket screw driver or anything small and flat. There is a release for the key inside the opening. You will need to press on it.
Also, make sure your shifter button popped out when you put it into park. If not, give the shifter handle a couple of raps with your hand. It might release it.
If it is the shifter there are no parts to replace inside it. You can remove the shifter plate and inside you will see that the plunger is either stuck or popped to the side. Reseat it and clean out whatever soda/liquid or what have you that probably spilled inside of it, causing the problem.
If none of this is helps, you may need a shifter assembly or possible ignition lock cylinder.
