Kind Of Emergency

Wife is in another state. Car battery is dead. Can't unlock the doors, even trying to use the key. Can't get inside to do anything including opening the hood or getting to the battery in the back of the car. Really need some help here. Chuck

Locksmith to get in but you may need a wrecker if it’s something other than a jump off.

Yeah, I was hoping someone would come through with a suggestion but it looks like she is calling roadside service. They say they can unlock the car and get it started. Thanks anyway. Chuck

There is a YouTube video that shows you how to unlock the door with a long string, might give that a try.

It's the panel? For future, you may be able to tap into the door popper and have a hidden button. Just a thought.

If I were there I might get it one but I doubt she will. If the battery is dead a hidden button won't' do anything and it won't get the door open now. Chuck

Wonder if you could go underneath and hook cables onto the starter to get power to the battery for the remote to work? just a thought, never tried it myself.

I doubt his wife is up to crawling under the car. It would work with a 9 volt battery hooked to the big red wire and some body metal.

she can't get into the car to open the hood, or rear hatch so about the only option is to slim Jim the door locks, or get to a power cable (underneath) maybe she can find a willing helper?? otherwise it would be a lockout service to get it open and started.

Never tried my key in the door, it uses the same key as ignition right?? I should try it once before I need to.

either as jimvw says, or the trick with a rope - there is no third option...
I'm sure your wife is not in the woods, there are people around, someone will help
