Leaning Front Passenger Side

Hey guys, I've got a 2006 HHR. I've noticed for awhile now that the front passenger side always seems to lean a little bit. I can't really tell from the outside but I can from inside. Along with the leaning, I feel like I'm picking up every bump and crack and crappy road I drive down in the front end, especially that side. Plus the handling in the front end just doesn't feel like I would expect it to at all, meh at best. I know that the front and rear brakes as well as both front control arms have been changed in the last year, I've also gotten an alignment in the same amount of time. The shocks have been replaced in the last 3 years. I drive a long commute and while I feel okay driving I'm beyond paranoid. Any advice?

Get to a front end shop before somebody dies.

If you can't tell from the outside... I mean, you could park on level ground, and measure from the ground up to the center of the fender arch, on each side. If they are the same, then maybe just the drivers seat is worn out.

If they are not the same, then like donbrew said, get to a shop.

I'm dead on 27" both sides. The problem isn't severe, and even at 80MPH it's only enough to realize that it's not riding as smooth as I think it should be even on junk roads.

BigSmo, welcome to the site , measure the fenders as mentioned, the shocks won’t effect ride height, springs will , have a look for signs of a worn out or broken spring.

when you changed the struts did you go with quick strut assemblies? Like Monroe

Measurements are dead even. Could tie rods and ball joints be causing it to pick up everything it's rolling over?

I'm wondering if a bad strut could be allowing one side to lift more than the other, at high speed.

RJ, Agreed, and it would also affect the ride quality on that side as well. A broken spring I would think would cause a sag on that specific corner????

They sit level, but once a driver gets in the additional weight on that side causes a change.. Nome sain ?
