All this thread needs now is a response from Chevrolet Customer Service. I notice that he/she (whomever it is at this point) hasn't posted in almost a month.

After a week at the dealership and 72 hours after being assured a call back from a District Service rep within 24 hours....I get the 4:45 voicemail dump on Friday, to discuss. They won't be back in until Monday! Meanwhile, the repairs needed are still to be determined.

To add insult to injury, my impression is that the Dealer's hands are tied, due to me being in minimal contact with the manufacturer.

This is where our resident Chevrolet Customer Service representative, Sara, should step in and assist with this customer service issue rather than welcoming people to the site. Just sayin'.

I had this happen a couple of times it was the nut on the remote positive post vibrating loose. I put a jam nut on top and it has not happened in a year and a half. Hope this helps.

Chevrolet HHR update: New fuse box installed, you need a new alternator. New alternator installed...your power steering won't communicate. The new fuse box is now defective after alternator was replaced. Another new fuse box is on order. All this after the Transmission Computer and Power Steering Computer (requires entire steering column replacement) two months ago at a cost of $1100.00.

The good news is that they are only charging me $100.00 for every part they throw at the vehicle. Last time it was $650.00 per part. It is starting to feel like I am being billed $100.00 per week for storage, plus $87.00 in towing fees.

Sounds like the local High School is supplying the "GM Factory Trained Technicians". Are they charging for parts that they clearly are just replacing because they don't know how to test for failures?
