Lost bolt

Well guys it happened. I was taking the guides and chains off to replace them before I put the motor in and I dropped a balance chain bolt into the oil pan. I heard it roll around and stop but I can find it on the tray anywhere. Is there places it could go all the way down? Also is this a bolt I can go to the dealer and get? Thank in advance

Take the oil pan off and find it.

X2, try a wand magnet, or just go to the pan removal.

Or, don't worry about it. Go to the local GM parts dept.

Is there a way it will make its way back to the crank? Also what sealant are you you guys using on the pan since there isn’t a gasket?

Too big to cause a problem with oil flow. I had 3 in mine.

I never looked, would it go into the pan or stay inside the chain cover?
