Lurch/Pulse/Jerking at stop light ?

Ok,
Ill do my best to disscribe my problem.

When Im stopped at a red light the HHR will sometimes lurch forward slightly and pulse back and forth about 5 times. Then stop and all will be normal.

You get the sensation that you are parked on a bridge and its moving.

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem?

Craig~

Yes I have experienced the same thing. Almost as if I dont have the brake pressed down far enough. No clue as to what it is, all runs well.

I get the same thing on occasion. The car runs fine otherwise.

Same here. It alsways feels to me like a strong wind is moving it around. The only reason I know its not the wind is that it happens on calm days too.

Mine does it too. Dealer could never get it to do it for them and so far no adverse affects

Now that would be funny if it was the answer
I am not picking on anyone, I too was trying to think of what could cause that. I have never noticed it on either of my vehicles, but makes sense.

Some of the SS guys are experiencing something close to what you describe, and the general opinion is its the ABS engaging/disengaging..... the overall problem we are faced with is the no brake issue upon start-up

Without experiencing the condition described for myself I can't state for certain, but I think it is the normal constant adjusting being done by the PCM. I know others state this is the only vehicle it happens on, but I feel this event on lots of models.
