If that is the case, I am leaning more toward tranny bc I do not typically ever use the A/C unless it is raining or my kids are in the car LOL. Given the frequency that this happens, it must be an electrical or signal issue

Check for burnt or loose ground wires at the transmission ground stud, and loose pins in the connection to the TCM , I'd also suggest checking the fuse box halves , relays and fuses under the hood.
If it is transmission related double check the fluid level.

Thing is, though ,that I have had this issue since day one, and others on the "Lurching" thread have had the issue since brand new. Fluid level is fine as it was changed about a month ago. I think it is just one of those annoyances that nobody really knows is the real cause.

The one I linked the guy swore that "resetting the TAP" is what is needed. I remember that from another thread, also.
