Stop light stories
So you've got a fast HHR. Which I would think comes as a surprise to your typical fartpipe Civic or Integra or Mitsubishi whatever, you get the drift...
Have any stories about stop light encounters?

well I guess you guys are showing some restraint. that's good, ive had to be a good boy since 1998...
since i have a lightly-modded Z28 I know what it's like to have a fast Chevy. Wonder how an HHR SS would do against a Mustang GT with 300 HP. Might be an interesting race at the dragstrip.

Well my only race has been against my gals 02 chevy truck I smoked her off the line @ the stop sign...but her truck has been modded alot..I'm still waiting on H/P Tuners to come thru before i got out stalking for runs...

i was thinking an HHR SS M5 would give a Mustang a run for its money. you'd need every stinking one of those 260 HP to make it intereting... but ya, it would take some serious modding/tuning to run with the big dogs.

Compared to most slow HHR's. By no means is thing ready for to many stop light battles.
From Road and Track:
According to Chevrolet, the HHR SS pulls a robust 0.86g around the skidpad, scoots from 0–60 mph in only 6.3 seconds, needs only 14.8 sec. to run the quarter mile and tops out at well over 150 mph.
From Road and Track:2008 Honda Accord Coupe
We were able to record 0–60-mph acceleration of 5.9 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.5 sec. at 99.8 mph.
I'm thinking my kids 500+hp "fartpipe" Nissan would eat this thing up and spit it out!

I was talking about the guy who has a lowered civic or mitsubishi whatever, (without sounding racist, a typical "riceboy") sporting the park bench rear wing, he's got the fart can thing going with a cold air intake and thinks he's mister hot rod.
so one could say the SS is lot quicker than the base models and as such, the riceboys would pick up on that SS badge and would maybe challenge it at the light.

I Know the SS is a pretty cool truck but unless your building a drag strip tuner car,... large cubicinch displacement (V8) will always beat a small 4 bagner anyday...no matter how much NOS,turbo or supercharger boost you can get
Be careful who you chose to go up against...
