HELP!!! My 2006 HHR sunroof is stuck in the tilted open (vent) position. Mechanic said motor is shot and he is looking for one (no luck yet). Rain is coming and wondering if there is a way to manually force it closed from vent position? If so, specifically how?

If the motor is shot, it will not move, if it’s the switches possibly 12 volts voltage to the motor will close it.

Any ideas where to buy new (or any) motors for the sunroof?

Could look at ebay or amazon or your local car parts stores or your local GM dealers.

It is used on many vehicles, I don't know why it would be difficult to find. Just put the part number into a search.
