Thank you, George. Wish there was some way to clean out the evaporator pan without having to remove the dash/instrument panel unit and removing the HVAC unit. Wish the entire drain pipe unit was about 2" in diameter instead of 1". Perhaps debris would just come out with the water or a shop vac pulling on the 2" replacement drain.

Thanks Tiapetra, that's a good idea. I know Harbor Freight has some of these scopes so I will look into that.

I don't know about HF, but there are scopes available that plug into a smartphone for under $20.

I am having this problem. 2009 panel. The water leaking in is causing electric problems. A body shop and a repair shop can't seem to fix it.
I heard a rumor the there is a mold problem in the evaporator box and it is plugging the drain. The same rumor said the the dealer had some foam spray to shoot into the evap box that cleaned it out. Does anyone know anything about this?

Can this drain be pulled out of the evap box form the outside and where is it located at?

Just clean out the drain hose, you can get to it from the engine compartment, it’s on the passenger side

It’s open, bend a little hook in the weed eater line to pull any gunk out.

Is it a straight shot. would a flex scope go up into it to see what is blocking it? How big is the passage?

About a 1/2 inch , not worth scoping, just cleaning it out.
