Ditto on the armoral type product. Once this starts to build you have to pull the vents out and throw them in the dishwasher. I just don't spray anything on the dash. Always put it directly on the towel and then apply. Do not use anything but a wet towel on the vents.

 

Sorry, I thought the thread was dead and just now noticed the question about cleaning. The answer is no.I have not used anything at allon them However the car already had 6700 miles on it when I bought it so who knows what could have been sprayed on it before.
These vents stick evry time they get hot. I just know better thatn to move them until they cool. Once cool they move easily.
