Well i tried the drained battery technique and no luck car still will not start i checked for any codes and i am throwing code p1516, any other ideas what could be done or should i call a tow truck and head to the dealer

 

Did you try the 30 Minute Relearn Procedure post #10 ?
thats all I know what to do maybe someone else can help with more info........

 

Well i dropped the car off at the dealer and they advised my security module was friend so that was replaced. They then started the car and it would start and shut off. They replaced my ECU and reprogrammed and still they cannot get the car to stay runing. My question is in the case that the dealer is not able to fix the car and i don't have a factory warranty on the car am i pretty much SOL?

I just called my dealer and he said it's possible that my "passlock" has gone bad and that would cause me to be essentially locked out from cranking the truck? Anyone ever heard of that? If so, how hard is it to replace a passlock?

 

No luck yet the car is STILL at the dealership, last they told me they have been back and forth with an engineer and master technician at GM and STILL have not figured out why the vehicle will not start. The mechanic said in his 30yrs of working for chevy he has never had his butt kicked so bad by a car. So i am still just waiting and don't know what to do if they can not fix the vehicle
