New to forum...

Well never expected my 1st post to be like this...

I literally just bought a 2007 HHR 1LT last night.

89K miles, I know kinda high but I'm a broke ass.

On the way home I get a code, have it checked it's a PO741...

Searching on here tells me "your trans is *"...

Did I search right? Dealership said to bring it back in, it "may" be under the 100K powertrain warranty. But if not "sucks to be you"

Question is, what is this code? I think TCC lock up...
Is my trans done?

Welcome to the forum....

On an '07 with less than 100K you should be covered if it's tranny related. I would hope so anyways..... Transmission is power train.

Hope your dealer fixes you up.

just sucks to be a new HHR owner, starting off on such a sour start.

These are good cars right?

I see a million on the road!

I have an '07 with 23K on it, had it since March of this year and love it.... no problems. Some guys have had some issues and a few have been totally soured by the car. You will find that with any car/model/brand....... they are good cars. My personal experience I would say a great car.

If you bought it from a dealer, I would think you should have at least 24 hours of some type of coverge. If not, drive it thru the front display window of the dealer and claim it on your insurance.....
"Well officer, I told them the tranny was acting up and as I was driving away it BOLTED TOWARDS THE BUILDING. Nothing I could do."

Sucks to have a problem w/ a new to you car on the way home w/it. Sounds like it may have been a former rental.

Don't worry....2 days after I bought mine the key got stuck in the ignition....

I'm sure it'll be covered since that's part of the powertrain, I don't know how they can refuse to do it...although some dealers may. If they won't cover it, I'd go to a different dealer.

Heck, I had a dealer tell me he wouldn't fix my rattling sunroof under warranty, and that the clunk in the front end was normal....

well the dealer said today they are going to have to do a tear down on the trans to determine the problem...

I hope they dont band-aid it...

wonder what the GM procedure is...

Cause thats what they've done so far
