The Manual sound, experiment and see if it happens with AC on vs AC off.

There has been complaints, and I notice, much more noise when AC running, almost like it makes feedback/noise through the speakers. Much more less noticeable with AC off!!

I have 56,000+ miles, no major problems, here, except Brake Rotor warpage!

Design of the HHR, probaly a little noisy in the wind in general.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!!!

Losts of GOOD info, here, and don't take some of the written things personaly, as with any forum!!!

Later,
Mark

I saw your HHR on line about a month ago, and actually added it to my pictures so when it came time to buy one I had an idea of what to look for. Well, I am picking up my 2007 white HHR LT2 tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. My HHR is minus the roof rails but then again I have nothing to put on the roof. It does however have everything else. Thanks for having your pictur out there and making my wishes a reality.Later.
