No ac

Hi there, I was wondering if anybody knew anything about AC systems on these hhrs? I have a 2008 LS model, and I had AC when I first got the car a couple of months ago, till I lost it so I recharged it and after I recharged it I had AC for about a day and I haven't been able to get AC back since, even though the system is fully charged. Anything I can check at home before I bring it to a mechanic? I have some mechanical knowledge I usually work on my own stuff, just curious if anybody else has had this problem

Is there a CheckEngineLight?
If you don't know what you are doing, just recharging freon is dangerous.

Some check engine light codes will cause the A/C to stop working as can to much Freon in the system.
P0128 is one example.

If you had to recharge it, then you obviously had a leak. If you didn’t fix the leak then I would guess that it leaked out again.
AND, if it was completely empty that 1st time then you should have at the least done a evac and vacuum test before doing any recharge.

Yes I have a check engine light on, but it sure a small exhaust leak, and there was some in it when I refilled it the first time, and now whenever I look at the pressure gauge it's too much like way too much, so I'm sure that it needs to be evac and refilled properly by a technician
