No cruise Control or Torque converter lock up

I have read that this might be caused by the brake light switch has anyone else experienced this?

The converter not locking up has nothing to do with the brake light. Go to a transmission shop.

There is no "brake light switch" per se. It is called the brake pedal position sensor. It relays the pedal position to the BCM that controls the brake lights.

And. Welcome to the site.

If your brake light it fine...

Lack of cruise control can also be caused by a hidden CEL code. Not all codes trip the CEL light. You can reset the PCM by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery, however the chances are that the code will come back. But you should be able to get your cruise working until it does. Best to get the code read and find out what might be going on.

Hey kbelfry,

Welcome to the forum! Glad you're reaching out here. If you'd like to have your lack of cruise control brought to the attention of your local Chevrolet dealership, I'd be happy to assist with that. Just PM me your VIN, mileage, preferred Chevrolet dealer, and contact information and I would be happy to share your situation with them.
