No Electric Power - New battery

Nothing works, no lights, no radio, no windows, no starter - nothing. I have installed a new battery (both old and new check at over 12 volts). Voltmeter reads over 12 volts at the terminal on the rear side of the underhood fuse box and 0 at the terminal at the front side. Would seem to me that there is some kind of break in current in the fuse box??? Any suggestions?

The rear terminal close to the firewall in the centre of the car should have a single wire, that’s the electric power steering 12 volt terminal. The forward terminal, under the red cover should have 2 wires , from the battery is one and on to the starter is the other. I suggest you inspect the fuse back by the battery.

The fuse by the battery is power to the BCM.
Maybe somebody hooked the wires up backwards. Did this start after a engine/transmission/fuse box replacement?

Car sat for about 15 months - though started about once a month. Started driving about 6 weeks ago. No problems. Then on a 90 degree day, I killed the engine when starting from a stop. All went dead. As above, nothing electrical seems to work. Has 180000 miles.

Here's a pic. Two wires at firewall, one at radiator ends.

No changes have been made in last several thousand miles.

Where is a fuse by the battery? If it were blown how would power get to the fuse box? I am not an electrical guy, obviously!
