Oil leak collecting in fuel injector area.
What can be the source of an oil accumulation in a fuel injector recess in the head, on a 2.2 Chevy HHR if not caused by a valve cover gasket leak slowly descending downward when engine is at operating temp.?

The pvc hose from the valve cover leaking? Or the oil filler neck ? Perhaps a little spillage pouring in the engine oil?
pull off the air filter box and have a close look. 👀 are perfect for this job, perhaps a photo will let us look too.
