In to the dealer 4 times for the clunk. Still there. I'm learning to just turn the radio up and ignore it.

You've fixed the clunk 4 times? And it still comes back? Is it the roads in AK or AZ?

I know the AlCan isn't gravel anymore like it was when we went up it in '62!

front end clunk

I have a multi clunk front end problem on my 08 SS. Went to the dealer they said it was my front struts and my steering column. I had them replace the struts, and it did nothing to solve the problem. I really can't believe the steering column can be making that much noise and am hesitant to waste more money.Any imput would be appreciated.

After looking more closely, I have to believe the issue on mine is in the strut assemblies. Even with both sides being complete, new, Monroe units, the noise they make when sharply turning the wheels left to right, it has got be an issue in one or both of them. I plan on pulling them back apart to more closely look at the strut spring alignment as well as the strut tower mount area.
More to come....
