Onstar going crazy
Onstar going crazy
I saw this: "#10037: Customer Satisfaction - Unwanted Repeat Calls to OnStar - (Apr 20, 2010) "
I don't know if that's it or not. I don't even subscribe to the thing. Lately it comes on by itself and mutes the stereo, (usually when I'm diggin' a tune) and wants me to do something. I've finally figured out that saying "cancel" is the only way to shut that beyotch up. No, I'm not holding the call button on the steering wheel. Sometimes the car isn't even running. When I get a round tuit, I'll pull the fuse. ...goofy contraption.

I had a problem with wiring to the onstar module, its too tight and pulls the connection out of the onstar. making bad contact. for me it was no microphone. they pulled the wire a little more.
not saying its the cause of yours, but something to check.

I had on-star make repeated sales calls to me on my ride to work nearing the end of my trial period. I had them call me 5 days in a row. The first time it scared the crap out of me. I was enjoying my nice quiet commute one morning and then the on-star "Chime" went off. I finally told them that if they called me again I would rip the unit out of the car or call gm customer service. The calls stopped, and I have never recieved a call from on-star since.
