The one big flaw I've found with my HHR is the driving position.So far I haven't been able to find a comfortable spot-that is,one that doesn't give me a painful right shin.Highway driving is fine when I can set the cruise and extend my leg.Any other tall owners(I'm 6'2",34 inch inseam) out there have this problem?Any solutions?

Sorry, I'm about the same height as you and I don't often have the problem. Are you talking shin splints type pain, or is your leg hitting something? I do remember having a bit of pain on a couple occasions while in stop-and-go driving, but it's pretty infrequent.

 

At 6'4"+ w/ 36" inseam, don't seem to notice any pain.

 

Yeah,it's a shin splint type of pain.Used to get this same pain driving an ex-girlfriend's Kia Rio.That thing had no cruise so there was no highway relief.
Right now I've got the seat all the way back and almost all the way down.This seems to have lessened the pain a bit so we'll see what happens.BTW,the left leg has no pain from working the clutch.

Well then I guess I have experienced it, but it really doesn't happen often, and it has happened to me in other cars as well.

 

I am 6' with 36" inseam and have not noticed it. One difference may be the type of seat. I have the 2LT with power seat, which is very adjustable. Took me about 3-4 days get it right.

 

That's what mine is-2LT w/power seat.Seventeen days,still hurting.I hope this low seat position is the answer-I like it better than sitting way up high anyway.

 

6'9" 39" inseam. Back of seat down and front up as much as possible with enought recline to still be comfortable sitting upright. I only get shin pain when driving home after basketball.

 

I'm 6'1",34 inch inseam and have never had any leg pain while driving my SS. It definetly isn't the most comfortable car I have ever had.

 

I also think that part of the problem may be that the squab(cushion)is too short in length.Even my 5'2'' mother said that about the passenger front seat.Is the SS seat squab longer than the standard LS & LT seat?
