P0014
P0014
Since I've gotten Big Red back today, I plugged I my code reader to take a gander at the live view when operating at colder temps with the new air box and intake locations. To my surprise I have a p0014 showing with no CEL or the symptoms associated with it as I've read on here. Big Red is a 2011 LT 2.2 with 114k miles. I'm a little unsure of what to do.
Should I go ahead and replace the solenoid, exhaust, or intake also maybe? Should I reset the code and see if it comes back? Should I wait to see if it clears on its own? I'm just a bit confused why I'm not getting a CEL. And yes I did verify that the CEL comes on during start up, so it's not a burnt out light.
Whopper, btw, the how to was great for the solenoid change, even if the thread was really long. I'm not going to lie, I'm about a third of the way through it, I haven't finished it yet.

You only need whopper's first couple posts. The way codes work: if it happens once in a cycle it sets a pending code, no CEL. If it happens again it sets a current code, which lights up the CEL.
In short, forget about it until the CEL comes on.
