No temp related cel's or anything, he just said if that is messed up then that could throw things off and make it run lean and struggle to start.

The pigtail is available at all of the big box stores. and Ebay etc.

The most common fixc for P0171 AND slow start together is a bad Evap purge valve or a broken hose. Second is fuel pump. P0171 alone is usually a rust hole in the EVAP return pipe.

Figured out the situation with my vent valve solenoid. Its a jumper wire they gave me with it. Got that replaced and Ive been driving it for a bit, the traction control poped up again but havent got the lean code yet. I checked every inch of fuel line and and purge/vent line i could and found no leaks or any fuel/residue that would indicate a leak of some sort. Just checked the fuel pressure and couldnt get it to raise by priming the system with repeated cycling of the key. At idle i had 32-34 psi and it droped instantly as soon as i turned the car off. So does that mean its the fuel pump?

P0171 fixed that rolled into a p0451

So i got the fuel pump put in a couple weeks ago and it fixed my lean code. Has been running good untill today, it threw a p0451. I can actually feel the purge valve under the hood vibrating or buzzing. So I'm hoping i can just change that and it will fix this new issue.

P0451 is the fuel tank pressure sensor performance. That happens when it can't rezero after the P0442 (small leak) test is run. So, that might fix it, don't be surprised if a P0442 pops up (don't worry about it).

So the new valve diddnt fix it. I can feel the purge valve "clicking" like its trying to open but cant or something. Its not really making a noise or anything but i can feel it pulsing. Is the car ok to take a 300 mile drive today you think?

Probably. Did you clear the codes? That one has a funny schedule to run to fix itself.

That vibrating may be it trying to zero out.

The test only runs when the p0442 test runs; which is only twice a day after engine shutdown and several other criteria. Sometimes it takes 20 days to run.
