Of course! Sorry, I got roped into a "honey-do" task, that took priority. haha

I believe the first test I did yesterday, was indeed "Operator Error".

Today:
All 4 were 230/135/230/230 Dry
and 270/165/270/270 Wet

After break-in, I would expect a new ecotec to have around 200-210 psi. So either you have heavy carbon deposits (Not very likely), or this tester reads high(More likely).

But the wet test improvement, IMO, is right at the borderline, meaning inconclusive. You should perform the leak down test.

Performed at TDC, all valves closed. I run it at 100 psi, then it's easy to calculate the percentage of loss. But that much pressure wants to push the piston down. Easy to hold position with a manual transmission, not sure about automatic.

I should probably have mentioned, this one happens to have been a rental in it's past life, I'm sure it was "rode hard and put up wet", as my dad would say. I'll have the leak down kit in hand late Sunday / early Monday, and I'll run it then. Thanks!

Those other 3 cylinders are way high, which might mean the #2 is really like 10 psi.

I’m thinking, head gasket.

Head gasket to atmosphere leak? Weird but possible. Should have visual cues.

maybe the gauge is metric?

Ok gentlemen, bit of a learning curve making sure I was doing the leak down test right, but I think I got it. The results were: 20 / 60 / 15 / ~17. The #2 cylinder was blowing air out of the spark plug hole of the #1 cylinder, but the #1 didn't seem to be blowing air the other direction, into the #2. I could very very faintly hear a bit of air bubbling from the #3 cylinder from the air intake when testing the #3. #4 was about halfway between 15 and 20.

Is this a result of doing the test with each cylinder moved to TDC of the compression stroke ?

As far as I know, each cylinder was at TDC compression stroke.

This is the video I went by:

Here's the best pictures I could get of the cylinders, not very useful, I'm afraid.
