P2122

Hi guys:

Last week my daughter called from college (local) and said there was a "Reduced Power" message on the DIC and it was down on power. I went there and read the code (P2122) which was for low voltage from the accelerator pedal position sensor. I erased the code and it ran fine until today. She called from college again and said the "reduced power" message was back. I had left the code reader in her car and told her how to read the code (P2122 again) and how to erase it.

The first time I thought it might be a fluky glitch, but it looks like the sensor is really starting to go. The part (AC Delco) at rock auto is $73. I will order one and install it.

Am I missing anything else I should be checking?

2006 1LT with 2.4L, 180K miles.

Thanks
Steve

The pedal is super easy to replace, will take you longer to open the car door! three bolts and a plug, thats it I think
