just got new running boards and front / back doors repainted by dealer at no cost to me on my 2006 hhr. district chevy rep refused to authorize , so i had no choice but to go to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and file a complaint . they immediately contact chevy. chevy made it as hard as possible , even making me read the ingredients from the products i used to wash the hhr with. i agreed on a settlement with chevy . they were required by the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU to repair my hhr within 30 days . CHEVY DID NOT DO THE REPAIRS they had agreed to . BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU immediately reopened the case,and told them they had 30 days again to do the repairs . within 9 days i had new running boards and a paint job .my hhr is black and these seem to be the worst for the chipping. another black hhr customer got his free running boards the day after i did . he had gone to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU before i did . my point is ... chevy knew the problem existed ,that's why they put those horrible plastic pieces on (with double sided tape ) . however , they never told us that if we DIDN"T buy the hhr with running boards we would have all this damage . DON'T GIVE UP !!!!!!
