Part connected to 25803946

2006 HHR
There are two holes on PN 25803946 near the bottom that are unused in the picture. I know that the cover that goes over this area is PN 15828134 and I have that part. Is there anything that is supposed to go in the lower area using these holes to avoid water coming up to these electrical components?

I am not doubting you, but I am talking about the two holes below the ECM area. They don't seem to be enclosed when the cover is on so I do not understand how a weep hole would be needed here.

The TCM and ECM live in this bracket,

Under this cover, nothing below or underneath, just that Darth Vader helmet like plastic cover.

Wonderful. Thank you for your help. I just wish that it was clearer from Chevy so I wouldn't have pulled out so much hair.

Well, then I will preempt your next question. That metal tube in the front of the engine is supposed to be not connected to anything; it is vestigial from another application.

Haha, I wasn't even worried about that. The only two codes it is currently showing are for the catalytic system and the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor. I was told that after a car wash that sprayed water on the undercarriage that the car had some issues. I was just making sure that everything that was supposed to be blocking water from below was there.

Check the fuse marked "EXH".
You should just post the codes if you need help, the explanations given by code readers is not reliable.

Thank you, I believe the codes are P0131 and P0420. Is the fuse you are talking about in this picture?

There should be a map of the fuse block, inside the lid, and also in your owner manual. If you need a manual, see the link in donbrew's signature.
