Persistent Vibration
Going back to the dealer Monday AM. I'm leaning toward rotor run-out, as that is the only thing not changed or checked since this all started. I will be sure to post the remedy(if one is found) when I get the car back. Thanks for all the posts, do appreciate it.
I've owned 4 HHRs since 2007. They have been good vehicles for us.

Well, I got the HHR back today with 4 new Michelin MX4Vs. The rotors were checked for run-out and I was told they were within specs. I found that the vibration I felt in the steering wheel was gone. The vehicle did not display the same characteristics as with the Goodyear Assurance Comfort treads. Although the tires were inflated4-5 lbs over the door sticker rate of 30 lbs, the ride was smoother and softer. I adjusted the psi to 30 psi in my garage. Haven't driven it since, but I feel much better that the issue may be gone. Its cold here and will be testing it more in the coming days. I chose Goodyears based on the UTQG of 740, obviously not the only factor I needed to consider. Thanks for all the interest in my post. Surprised to see a Chevy rep viewing. I'll for sure to let Laura know of any developments, if I see the need. Thanks to all......

Sometimes you get a vehicle that just doesn't like a set of tires, many eons ago when I worked at a Firestone store, we had a couple of cars that just acted up until we gave the customer a different set of tires.

Based on searches/ suggestions here I was looking at Sway bar bushings and links... but now I'm wondering if the tires might be the issue.
I had taken it to an alignment place, thinking maybe that was part of the problem. The drove it, said it wasn't doing anything that would say alignment was out. I asked the boss, what could it be. He said it could be tires, like the dealership put on cheap ones or something. Honestly that sounded kinda kooky to me (in my uneducated-ness) so I was looking at other things.
For another reason, the brake rotors are brand new. 2 weeks on them, maybe. No change.
But now I run across this post... so maybe not kooky!
Any idea what is going on? Why would the tires cause a vibration/ wobbly feeling?
Doubtful the dealership cares anymore... Can't really afford new tires. Crap.
EDIT: My tires are Michelin Primacy MXV4's (215 55 R16) the same (I think) as the tires that fixed 4XHHR's problem! I ran and looked at lunch. ARGH

Bought my car in Mid-December. Have had a similar vibration/ wobble trouble since then. Tires were new (put on by dealer I assume), they are Michelin somethings. I'll have to run look at lunch. Balanced at time of installation and right before I picked it up...

I have run 2 new sets of P215/55R/16 MXV4's and they both were smooth and true.
You might have a crooked or separating belt on one tire from a prior hard impact.
I would put the fronts on the back ... Don't switch sides.
See if you can tell any difference at all.
You would be transfering the problem to the rear but it would feel different.
If you can tell a difference then you have a tire or wheel issue now on the rear.
Has anybody checked for Balance or possibly an out of tolerance/bent wheel issue?
First thing first.....

Supposedly balance was done when tires mounted (before I bought) and I mentioned the weird feeling when I bought, and they said balance was checked then.
No aftermarket wheels here. 18 hole steelies
