They explained that the transmission would be disassembled, and all the parts would be cleaned and inspected...He said it would be a few days on monday, and that I should have the car for the weekend. this job is 8 hours labor thru GM I was told....I still haven't heard from them(tranny shop)...I do know the owner through the grape vine, so I think he will take care of me. I thought what you thought, and asked "so is it a complete rebuild''? He said that most of the parts would be new, and that they only keep some of the stuff, that shouldn't have been damaged by what happened...

At the time all he had done was removed the pan, so he probably didn't even know the extent of the damage yet...

Glad you got her back.

Yep. The pictures are pretty much what I expected to see.

So the SS is driving great. I finally gathered up the courage to romp on it today...was as smooth as could be...I will however be romping on it much less after this whole ordeal...

somehow killed the battery through.the whole process and found out about the TSB on the key fob and tpms which mine are not working. Turns out I had to make an appointment to have this done, because apparently it takes an hour to do....I think the dealer is lying to me...but who knows
