Like OB suggested, head down to your local chain auto parts store, where they will read the OBD2 codes for you. You could have saved a lot of money if you had done that first.
I'm in Cali, where they won't read them for you anymore, so I bought a reader.

Says they replaced the "selinoids", so I'm guessing it's the 2.4l.

No it didn't! It may have displayed a code like P0304, and added a description like "misfire #4". What we are asking for is the number.

Are you noticing a loss of coolant?

Then I suggest you inspect the harness for the coil and injector for #4

Things needed for diagnosis:

Compression and leakdown test
fuel pressure test
inspect for loss of coolant
inspect wiring and connections to #4 spark plug/coil
have battery tested
