WOW, I have not heard the popping as of yet and with MOST people saying that they have I'm almost scared. I have heard a popping with a crappy mp3, but then the next song was fine, and it was not very loud at all. Does anyone know the ETA of the software fix????

I would't worry about it unless you actually experience it yourself. I haven't heard the pop even once the entire time I have owned my HHR. Most dealerships won't fix a problem that's not there. I had a hard enough time getting them to reflash my HHR to take care of my starter problem. I had to prove to them that my HHR was having a problem with the remote start. I kept getting, "Just because there is a TSB doesn't mean that your vehicle has that problem.". If the radio pop elevates to a recall then I'll worry, but in the mean time I have no concern.

I have had this a few times as well. Glad to know it is being dealt with. I notice it has only happened when I use the auto start feature.

I have had the "crackle" more than a pop since day two of ownership. Mine has "crackled" in every situation with remote start, without, it. using xm regular over the air etc. My dealer tried a fix with a new radio unit butalas, it crackles also.

Snap, Crackle... POP!

My radio "Pops" more times than not, when I use the remote start. (patently waiting for GM's software update)

I also have to call the dealership today to find out (ask) why my cigarette lighter (dash power port) doesn't have any 12v juice?? I never noticed until recently I went to plug in a radar detector and there was NO power. However the other 12v power ports work?
