The power steering keeps going out in my 2006 HHR taxi cab. Is this a very expensive repair?

Ebay has this motor for 53.00 to 100.00 just put in the part number of the motor.

 

Ya, what he said. If it comes and goes then it is for sure your motor. Its a very easy fix, if you can squat down you can do this.

 

I think Rock Auto may be lower price..

Anyway, keep your reciepts, GM of Canada has recalled the HHR's up there for this problem, maybe soon here too ?
Time will tell..
But you can get reimbursed your $$, if & when they do.
